Finland bans pork in schools in a leftist “green” alliance with Islam
One of the cheapest and least resource-intensive sources of protein is being systematically removed from Finnish society in an effort to please Muslims and make them feel “more at home.”

The city’s Education Committee has approved a proposal to increase the use of plant-based meals and oat drinks. The change follows new nutritional guidelines and “aims to reduce the environmental impact of food production”. The decision was not unanimous and will next move to the City Council for consideration.1
In practice, the reduction of meat, and especially pork, dishes in Helsinki’s schools has already begun.

Earlier this spring, the city’s education department drew up a five-year plan aiming to cut the total amount of meat served by half by 2030. As part of the “meat reduction plan”, meats such as ham will disappear from daycare and school lunches starting in autumn 2026.
Some municipalities, such as Vantaa, Espoo, and Helsinki, have recorded the growing proportion of residents who speak a foreign language. For example, in Vantaa, one in four residents speaks a foreign language.2

Of particular concern are those who study Finnish or Swedish as a second language (foreigners, muslims).3
Students with an immigrant muslim background in Finland lag behind the native population more than in any other OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) - country.

Most politicians also wanted to amend the civil service’s proposal by making oat milk available to schoolchildren as well. In Finland, all students receive a free school lunch, which traditionally includes unlimited servings of milk.
At the moment, about only 3–4 percent of families choose oat milk. For children over one year, the risks include nutritional deficiencies if oat milk replaces cow’s milk entirely, or health issues from excessive added sugars in flavored varieties.4

Next, the initiative and the accompanying positive response will be reviewed by the city government. The final decision rests with the city council—though this is largely symbolic, as many changes have already occurred without formal votes, oversight, or proper deliberation, while radical Islamic ideologies and misguided leftist “green” environmental agendas have gained influence in the mainstream.
